How to prepare
the Tea Concentrate

Utensils needed:

One stainless steel boiling pot with cover
     (do not use aluminum)

     One fine meshed strainer

One 4-cup measuring cup (preferably glass)

Two (17 oz./500 ml) glass containers with lid for
storing the tea concentrate in refrigerator.

          Preparing the Tea Concentrate:

1. Place 1.25 liters or 1,250 ml of clean water in a pot, pour into it the dry herb contents of one pack and mix well.

2. Cover pot and boil for 12 minutes on low heat setting.

3. Stop boiling. Open pot and scrape residues on side of pot and mix with the boiled water. Close pot and let it stand for 12 hours at room temperature.

4. After 12 hours, heat the pot again for 3-4 minutes and then turn off the flame. Your Tea Concentrate should now only be about 1,000ml after the evaporation due to boiling.

5. Strain the Tea Concentrate into a glass container, seal it with hot lid and mark with date prepared. Let it cool. Once cool, place containers in refrigerator. Sealed containers must be used within 21 days.

IMPORTANT POINTS:

A. The herbal tea you prepared must be kept      refrigerated at all times (do not freeze). Opened      containers of tea that have been unrefrigerated      for over 24 hours must be discarded.

B. Tea contains no preservatives. Treat tea in      opened containers as a perishable food and use      within 21 days.

C. If your net result of tea is less than one litre per packet,      use a deeper pot. It will reduce loss of water due to      evaporation during the boiling stage.
